It all began in 2002, when two business partners embarked on a journey to create a website design company. Unbeknownst to them, this modest venture would evolve into Qlic IT for Business, a leading managed service provider dedicated to empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the UK.
The Journey Begins
In 2006, we expanded into IT support, marking a pivotal transformation in our trajectory. Under the leadership of our founders, Adam and Nick, we navigated this new path. Adam’s background in his family’s IT business and experience with SMEs, coupled with Nick’s expertise in telecoms, laid the foundation of our operations. Their shared commitment to excellent customer service and direct, personal communication influenced our unique approach, connecting clients directly to engineers and avoiding impersonal auto attendants and receptionists.
Discovering Our Niche
By 2012, we had accumulated around 50 support clients, which lead us to tailor our services to meet their distinctive needs. Our understanding of the sector’s dynamics, from small business pressures to data governance, enabled us to offer bespoke solutions. Driven by the principle of delivering high value at competitive prices, we addressed the financial and operational constraints typical of SMEs.
Growth & Evolution
Over the years, we have consistently looked for ways to streamline our processes and enhance efficiency in our business. This approach allowed us to offer competitive prices without compromising on quality solutions or customer service. By 2017, our team had grown to nearly 20 professionals, serving over 150 clients. We remained committed to our ethos of exceptional customer service and cutting-edge technology solutions.
A New Chapter: Qlic IT for Business
In 2021, we embarked on a new chapter with our rebranding to Qlic IT for Business. This significant move not only modernised our image but also emphasised our steadfast commitment to the SME sector. Fast forward to 2023, our team has expanded to 32 members, serving over 300 clients. Our services have grown to include regular informational webinars, live demos, free training sessions, and up-to-date security bulletins and blogs, all tailored to the unique needs of our clients.
